LICENSED VOCATIONAL NURSE (LVN)
Reports to: Director of Nursing
LVN performs skilled nursing functions in accordance with the federal, state, and local laws and within the guidelines of his/her professional organization and agency. All functions shall be performed in accordance with the established policies and practices and State Nurse Practice Act. The LVN delivers care to clients as delegated by the RN Case Manager.
Qualifications:
Education: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. Licensed to practice in the
state of Texas.
Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of experience in an acute care setting or
equivalent is required. Current CPR certification is required and must be
able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Good interpersonal
communication skills. Must posses a current drivers license, with a good
driving record, as will use own transportation to perform patient visits. Must have experience in providing health care delivery services for
individuals with functional disabilities.
Skills: Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all
segments of the staff, the lay and professional public, the Board of Directors,
Advisory Board, and Medical Director, Director of Nursing and
Administration. Shall be able to read, write, and comprehend English.
